I am a design researcher working at the intersection of technology and communication. My work focuses on how social, mobile and physical computing can be designed for public-interest values. I use qualitative methods to investigate situations and prototype novel ways to address them. I came to research following an international career as a journalist and news designer. I am motivated by a desire to effect real-world change through storytelling and human-centred design.
