Journalist | Lecturer | Researcher
I have more than 10 years’ journalism experience at media groups in Australia, South-east Asia and the UK, including the Financial Times, where I was an interactive producer. Since 2009 I’ve taught digital and interactive journalism at the University of Queensland, where I am also a PhD student. My research is on how interaction design impacts journalistic storytelling. I am involved in the Tech Street Journal, a Brisbane-based media startup focused on the tech industry and am co-founder of the Brisbane chapter of HacksHackers. I am a member of the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance, the National Union of Journalists and the Association for Computing Machinery.
