Material, time, land
My art work responds to environmental cycles and change. It is inspired by landscapes in south-east Queensland, including the wet sclerophyll forests of the D’Aguilar Range and the volcanic formations of the Southern Downs.
I combine wet-on-wet painting techniques with drawing, rubbing, and stitching to create original works in ink, watercolour and natural pigments, some of which are made from materials in the natural environment.
My art extends themes of time and human-nature connection from my work as a design researcher.
Art works are for sale at Forage, Tenterfield and at the annual Art With Altitude exhibition in Mount Glorious. Follow me on Instagram to see what I’m working on, or get in touch if you’d like to hear about new work or commission a piece.
